While I worked as a technical editor for 6 years, in my free time I also edited 5 full-length novels and 4 short stories for friends and fellow authors. I enjoy the process of applying the rules I have learned throughout the years to improve the clarity and professionalism of someone else’s work, making it the best it can possibly be.
I truly believe EVERYONE needs a good editor. Editing is what I love to do, maybe even more than writing. And now I’d like to offer my services to you.
What can I edit?
- Short stories
- Non-fiction pieces
- Technical documentation
- Blog posts
- Other – I’m open to suggestions!
Copy Editing/Line Edits: $4 per page*
For this service, I do a line-by-line assessment of your work and make suggestions to strengthen word choice, resolve inconsistencies, and possibly restructure paragraphs, especially with dialogue. Proofreading is included.
Proofreading: $2 per page*
Here, I would expect to see a mostly finished draft that needs one final pass to catch any typos, spelling or grammar errors, or punctuation problems.
*Assuming around 250 words per page
You can test drive my services completely free by sending me a sample of 1 to 2 pages of your work. I prefer Microsoft Word’s tracking capabilities, but I can also use Google Docs or Adobe Acrobat’s commenting features.
Email me at email@example.com to get started!
I’ve used Rebekah for all of my works, and will continue to do so. Her corrections and insights always greatly improve the quality of my work. I always look forward to seeing her personal remarks on the manuscript, it lets me know that she is fully engaged with the work, as well as making me laugh out loud!

I had Rebekah re-edit a novel that I had previously edited and published. She did an amazing job and caught a lot of errors that the previous editor did not catch. She had my work edited in under a week and I see a big difference in my Amazon reviews. Thank You Rebekah!
