Editing Services

While I worked as a technical editor for 6 years, in my free time I also edited 5 full-length novels and 4 short stories for friends and fellow authors. I enjoy the process of applying the rules I have learned throughout the years to improve the clarity and professionalism of someone else’s work, making it the best it can possibly be.

I truly believe EVERYONE needs a good editor. Editing is what I love to do, maybe even more than writing. And now I’d like to offer my services to you.

Service Categories

Copy Editing/Line Edits: $4 per page*
For this service, I do a line-by-line assessment of your work and make suggestions to strengthen word choice, resolve inconsistencies, and possibly restructure paragraphs, especially with dialogue. Proofreading is included.

Proofreading: $2 per page*
Here, I would expect to see a mostly finished draft that needs one final pass to catch any typos, spelling or grammar errors, or punctuation problems.

*Assuming around 250 words per page
